WHICH IS THE BEST MONTH TO VISIT MAKARSKA AND WHY ?
Best time to visit Makarska would be May, September and October.
May because it is not a high season yet, but it is still sunny and warm. Sometimes you already can swim and enjoy beaches, which are still free of tourists. We also like to travel around Dalmatia, the region where we live to see the snow on the mountain tops, for example Biokovo mountains and the peak of St. Jure. Or to have a picnic time on the Blue lake in Imotski just 40 minutes by a car from Makarska.
The end of September and October because it is not already a high season, so you can relax on the beach and enjoy the still warm sea. It is a perfect time to visit islands in front of Makarska – Brach and Hvar.
WHICH IS THE MOST CONVENIENT AND FAVOURED TRANSPORT IN MAKARSKA ?
Makarska is a small town, so a car would be the most convenient transport. But during high season which is in July and August, we have traffic jams. Hence, a lot of local people prefer scooters or motorbikes, even my husband and I envy him

First place – Is of course Central square, Kachichev trg. Second place – The Peninsula of St. Peter. I like to make a slow promenade through the bizarre stone walls to admire the panoramic view of sea town Makarska, marina with its yachts and boats. You can also see or make lovely photos of lighthouse, little tower and the sculpture of St. Peter, who is holding the key of the town in his hand.
